I worked for Hi-Way Services for 11 years, then onto Euromark. I have an NVQ Level 2 in Road Marking Application. I now run my own line-marking business, and have over 19 years’ experience in the industry. In that time I have been involved in a large number of high profile projects, from large multi-story car-parks and airports, to sports courts, motor racing tracks and the O2 arena.
Even though I do the hot thermal plastic, my main area of work is the machine applied cold paint material. This application is mainly used on multi story car parks, airports, sports courts and also inside warehouses and cold stores. The material is designed to be used where the surface is concrete or is block paved, but it can also be used on asphalt.
The one thing that I will always ensure, is to have a good relationship with the client, and to listen to what they need from us regarding any contracts that they may pass on. As all contractors know not all jobs go according to plan, and so alterations have to be done, that is why our company make sure that we have good, clear lines of communication between the client and ourselves, without that so much can go wrong.
It is still important to strive for improvement, and to stay adaptable and open minded to all and any changes that may happen in the road marking industry. The work that I undertake is done to a very high standard, and I will always maintain that high standard of work on all of my contracts.
